3rd day : Nafplio or Tolon
The Corinth Canal joins the Gulf of Corinth to the Aegean Sea and is more than 6 km long. The first attempt to dig the channel was made by Neron in 67 AD, but was quickly abandoned because too expensive. The digging started again in 1881 through the Greek government and ended in 1893.
Mycenae is an ancient city founded around 1700 BC and was discovered in 1876 by Heinrich Schliemann. The site abounds in archaeological treasures such as the citadel, the gate of the Lions, the circles with graves and the vaulting graves.
Nafplio was the capital of Greece from 1828 until 1834 after numerous invasions made by Francs, Venetians and Turcs. Nowadays it is an animated resort town surrounded by two fortresses: Acronafplio and Palamidi.

The Rio-Antirio Bridge, 3 km long, joins the north coast of the Peloponnese to Continental Greece since 2004, and it is now a symbol of modern Greece. On the site of Delphi you will visit the Panhellenic sanctuary, dedicated to the God Apollo, including the very famous oracle of Delphi, the Pythoness. Mistra was founded by the Francs in the XIIIth century in order to protect Sparta. A city that had a tragic destiny, being entirely destroyed by the Egyptian general Ibrahim Pacha. Kokkinos Pirgos is a small fishing village typically Cretan where you will enjoy to rest. Nearby, you will find the archaeological site of Phaistos and the grots of Matala.
The palace of Phaistos has about 8,300 m2 of surface and it is the second Minoan site on the island after Knossos. It is articulated around a central square heading to the palace, the shopping area, the habitations and tiers probably made for the festivities and religious ceremonies.

Arachova small tourist city, very lively and animated, well-known for its multicoloured carpets. Amphissa and its unending olive groves… Thermophilae, place with lots of warm water springs. Because of its strategic situation, the passage of Thermophilae has been the theatre of many battles. 1st day : Kavala
Welcome at the Macedonia airport of Thessaloniki. The car is given to you according to the chosen category. Departure for Kavala.
Cimon founded the city of Amphipolis, to see, the site with the necropolis, the walls, the lower city and the exceptional ruins (wooden pillars) of one of the two bridges on the Strymon, as well as the gymnase, a big Hellenistic residence, and the basilicas of the acropolis.

2nd day : Kavala
Possibility of visiting the island of Thassos (1 hour by boat departing from Kavala). The big port of Kavala, site of exceptional beauty hugging the sea and place rich of ottoman reminiscences. The old city, with the narrow ancient streets crowned by the citadel. An exceptional setting : the aquaduct of Kamares, the Byzantine fortress, the native residence of Mehmet Ali, one of the seldom civil ottoman constructions that have outlasted in Greece
3rd day : Thessaloniki
Xanthi, nowadays a Greek city, was part of the Ottoman empire and was named Isketche.
Philippi, Roman city where St Paul came to preach. Philippi, the first European Christian city.

4th day : Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki flourished especially during the Roman and the Byzantine days. Built by the Turcs, the White Tower, that dominates the seafront with its outline, was in fact a prison in the XVIIIth century. To visit as well : the walls of the city, the Arch of Galerius, the archaeological museum of Thessaloniki, the superb frescos and mosaics widely gold of Ag. Dimitrios and Aghia Sophia.
Pella one of the antique capitals of Macedonia, birthplace of Philip II of Macedonia and his son Alexander the Great. You can visit the archaeological site, the Royal Palace and several Macedonian houses of those times.

5th day : Vegina or Naoussa
Vergina, where Macedonian tombs with remarquable frescos were discovered in 1977. Discovery of the outdoor paintings at the entrances of the tombs. Visit of the archaeological museum where marvellous treasures and items are shown , coming from the royal tombs.
Naoussa, where red wine is made, coming mostly from the local wineries, the « Xinomavro », planted all over the area. This winery produces rather light and aromatic red wine that maturates well in barrels.

6th day : Kalambaka
The monasteries of the Meteora, that belong to the patrimony of the UNESCO since 1988, are situated on the summit of rocks called Meteora. The first monasteries are from the XIVth century. Only 4 monasteries from the 24 initially built are still active: Agios Nikolaos, Agios Stefanos, Aghia Triada and the monastery of the Transfiguration.

7th day : Thessaloniki
Dion : the archaeological site of Dion recalls strongly the importance of that sacred city that the ancient Macedonians dedicated to Zeus. Sanctuaries, villa with mosaic ornaments and ancient walls represent the most important ruins.

8th day : Thessaloniki - departure Return of the vehicle at the Thessaloniki airport. Departure flight or stay in a hotel in the area of Chalkidiki.

1st day : Arrival– South of the island
Welcome at the Corfu airport. The car is given to you according to the chosen category. Departure towards the south of the island.

2nd day : South of the island
To see on the south-east side of the island, the fishing villages that became charming little resorts like Messonghi, Boukari, Petriti with its small quiet port. To see also, the small villages that hang on the mountains like Chlomos and its exceptional panorama, Lefkini, the second city of Corfu famous for its wine and the lake of Korisson, an exceptional natural reserve.
3rd day : South of the island
The Achillion palace was built in 1889 for the empress of Austria Elisabeth, also named Sissi. It is situated nearby the village of Gastouri and is nowadays open to the public.
The Agios Gordis beach is an ideal place to enjoy the transparent water of the island.
Sinarades is a traditional village very representative of Greece.
The village of Pelekas, suspended on the hill, is famous for its exceptional beaches and its pleasant atmosphere. As for the night life and the holiday atmosphere, you will prefer the beach of Glyfada.

4th day : North of the island
Paleokastritsa is known as one of the most beautiful sites of the island with its numerous beaches surrounded by hills, olive groves and lemon trees.
In the north, you can visit the castle of Angelokastro, one of the most imposing Byzantine edifices in Greece.
As for the beach, Agios Georgios or Arillas will meet all your wishes.
For a more cultural visit, we will meet in the village of Peroulades protected for its patrimony dating from the Venetian times.

5th day : North of the island
Sidari and Canal d’Amour are two important tourist destinations and are well-known for their beaches and their entertainment possibilities. Canal d’ Amour offers to visitors a panorama made of crags and unique rocks. Acharavi is also a famous resort.
In the north of the island stands the highest mount of Corfu, mount Pantakrator that culminates at 914 m and from which you have a superb view over Albania and the Epirus coast.

6th day : North of the island
Palea Perithia is a Venetian village abandoned in the 50’s – 60’s and that is now classified as an historical site.
Kassiopi and its little fishing port is a pleasant resort, as well as the beach of Kouloura that deserves a visit. You can go on visiting going through the village of Kalami and the resort of Dassia.

7th day : City of Corfu
The capital of the island has lots of cultural and historical treasures among which the old city part of the patrimony of the UNESCO for its fortifications and its neoclassical edifices. To see : the Agios Spyridon cathedral, the citadel fortified by the Byzantins and the Venetians, the palace of Mon Repos, the palace of the king, the Byzantine art museum and the archaeological museum.
